4.5/10 It is unfortunate that Tom Hanks followed up the excellent “Bridge of Spies” with this. Starts shaky, improves slightly but never achieves something worth watching. I feel like this was meant as a movie on Lifetime but as a major theatrical release it misses the mark. Has a running gag with Tom Hanks breaking chairs that he sits in that gets old quickly, not many of the film’s characters make you want to root for them and not a whole lot happens in the film, which causes it to drag. Your mom might enjoy passing a couple hours watching it but overall this film was a waste of time and a waste of Tom Hanks’ talent.
